Dream of Beads for Necklaces
Dream of Beads for Necklaces With a Close Friend …

We talked a long time as we sat in his truck,
a friend stood outside and talked with us,
we got out and walked a little ways with the friend
who left us alone when we stopped at a bead shop.
He bought a large bag of beads,
all different colors, beautiful glass beads,
beading string, and findings,
to make lovely necklaces.
With his arm around my shoulders.
I felt safe and happy with him.
“You have a wife,” I remarked.
“But I like you,” he whispered and squeezed my shoulder.
Sitting on the floor in his house we started
stringing beads for necklaces,
enjoying our creativity and the time together.
We must have made at least ten necklaces.
He hung the necklaces on a nail in the wall.
We admired them and talked more.
Then he handed me two earring posts
each with three yellow beads on them.
He suggested I add another color
on each post and I chose red.
I put the red beads on the top
of each post and handed them to him.
I said they need fish hooks
so he added the hooks
and we both admired the earrings.
We were silent as he gazed into my eyes.
Then I woke up and had many thoughts swimming
around in my mind, and many questions.
Does this dream have meaning for me?
Later I began to analyze the dream.
Who was that new friend? I am not sure
and have never dreamed of him before this time.
He was a kind and down-to-earth type of guy,
honest, sincere. The kind of man I always admired.

To interpret the dream:
I used to interpret dreams for friends or family members and have been very accurate which helped others understand a lot about themselves or a situation. I have not done this for many years and seldom for myself. I felt a special closeness to this new friend. I have decided to not interpret this dream and just let it be, for it brought me some peace.

What a pleasant dream and making bead necklaces is a great creative outlet. Jamie
Thank you, Jamie. I love to work with beads and make a lot of necklaces, bracelets and hat bands. I also like to add beads to embroidered pieces I make and to my dream catchers. I have 1000s of beads and add to my collection often. I have some that are antiques and six that are from the Lewis and Clark expeditions when they stayed with the Nez Perce.
A thoughtful run of beaded words, mysterious and peaceful. Deep-rooted and personal, this feels like a message from your soul.
Beautiful rhythm and flow, Phyllis.
Ann
Thank you very much, Ann. I am glad you enjoyed this.
Could this gentle shoulder squeeze be a little more than beads, sometimes better off ending on a high/happy note. Definitely has a deeper meaning though. Nice write Phyllis.
Thank you, Paul. I tried not to interpret the dream, but my mind keeps wandering back to it and I wonder who he is.
Quite the interesting trip you’ve taken. Dreams can be such a great medium for your creative spirit. Keep your eyes open, for that mysterious man. Very nice piece
Thank you, Ralph. Yes, I will be watching for him. I so agree with you about dreams.
