777 Affirmation

777 Affirmation …

777 Affirmation

My verses ride in hearses, dispersed at night in silhouettes

I curse my intuition, my amusement in those feelings that I get

My pen portrays all the visceral ways I’ve collected on my debts

I strike the killing blow, and it hurts when I murder the whole alphabet.

The Lord does not applaud, unimpressed with war, the blessed sword

My pen implores, the rules ignored, left to the throngs of discord

I check from the castle, the bishop from across the checkered floor,

The knights primed for reaction, to jump if their space is called

I pressure pawns, queens intervene, the kings were warned

The gambit enacted in His name; the game’s defenses mauled

I pray to the Lord, for those ill-equipped to stop chasing war,

At least start playing chess, not checkers, and respect the board.

Unconscious, I scribe in symbols, responses that look like sonnets

Tuned harmonics, ones to harness with electronics and focus on knowledge

I stomp my foot like a bomb hits, a shift in tectonics, the fondness

His voice like a tonic, a cathartic, it comes through like a calming clock tick…

Darkness blights, His voice like rock, the guidance needed on writer’s block,

Search through the night, if counseled just right, we find that titan’s spark

His angels take flight, beautifully bright, all of them assigned to their mark

Creation knights, believe, recite, and then again my poetry embarks

Front line as a soldier, perhaps a beholder, an agnostic or kosher,

walk with Mohammed or with passions of a Christian-like donor,

They don’t need a decoder to know me, for asking who has my ear

Or on my shoulder, who’s arms, and eyes could ever enfold her.

My poetry like musical movements, I have the scars here to prove it,

Sometimes the lines intersect and sometimes they’re a-musing

I pray to my muse and knowing His voice is the truth when

My soul is oozing, with misuse and abuse then, I pray for His absolution.

I hope when I pray that He is the one that replies, this hatred subsides

And I’m not the only one fooled like Judas with the beast at his side.

The Lord is coming, and for now He visits in the guise of all His earthly guides

He also visits in dreams, in fact, He will reemerge in one of my own tonight.

Love the flow of this, up and down and rolling along, like the thoughts it portrays. Brilliant!

Thanks Ann. I have a few more coming with my super loose interpretation of the angel number meanings. Glad to see your comment.

I enjoy how you have found a muse in angel numbers. That sounds very interesting and the poetry you created under its influence is beautifully crafted and an amazing read. I agree with Ann and Phyllis memorable phrasing and the rhythm is spotless. Jamie

Appreciate your comments Jamie. For some reason these angel numbers have captured my curiosity. I am finding alternative interpretations for each one and just running with it. Thanks again.
