Dane and Nickey will encounter the worse that the high country offers; they will battle the weather, altitude, renegade outlaws, all with the help of a spirit of the Ute Indians that still haunts these mountains.

Dane and Nickey’s search and investigation into what happened to their friend will take them from the Colorado Mountains to the flowing wheat-fields of Western Kansas. Follow the suspense, the adventure, and the thrill of another Kurt James novel.

I always think that Kurt James can’t get any better than the last novel I read and then he writes another one and proves me wrong every time. This novel is no exception. I think this is his best work yet. He always comes up with new ways to keep you glued to the book and in suspense. His story line is exceptional. He combines both new world and old world and ties them together. Once you start reading this novel you won’t be able to put it down till you are done. This is the second book in the Grand County collection and I sure hope he keeps writing more of them. I highly recommend this novel.

Wow, what a great follow up to the 1st book in the series “The Daunting”. This books is full of action, suspense, and mystery. “When the Song Vanishes” will leave you wanting more of Kurt James stories. It did me. I would have given it 10 stars if I could have.

      Glad you stopped by my campfire John. I thought the cover of this book was exceptional to the story within. Yes, I am building my library and currently working on a new novel “Rocky Mountain Moonshiner” set in the year 1922 in Gilpin County, Colorado. Also in the works is a new reference book “Kansas Ghost Towns, Hauntings, Treasure Tales, and Other BS” – and still working on my short story series “PATTON – BOUNTY HUNTER, 8th adventure” … Hope all is well in Australia.
