You’re My Love My Life …

She had searched far and wide,
for a love that would stay a lifetime.
Too many broken hearts,
were creating a path behind her,
one too many heartaches –
made for nightmares in the night.
How she longed for someone to say-
you’re my love, my life.
When he came into her life,
he was a singer and a dreamer,
so she thought he would love her,
but never for too many tomorrows.
Then he started singing,
his love songs just for her,
she became his soul and inspiration,
she became his muse and his life.
So she was ready,
to give him her heart
and he was ready to love her –
till eternity.
With you, I feel so protected,
so unafraid of what tomorrow will bring.
You’re my fortress in a storm –
my one and only love.
Come take my hand
and walk through this world with me.
Dance with me in the dark,
dream by candlelight,
be there with your bright smile,
making my world so very right.
Safe in your embrace I’ll be,
my love, my life,
you’ll always be for me.
Come round the bend
and as the years roll by,
let the silver in our hair,
turn to gold again,
let our kisses be fiery
and our love heaven sent. CE
