A Dedication to My Readers

I

To think about abstract composition

or design emphasis on aesthetics

to keep in minds usage of mathematics

images and their different emotion.

Come back disappearing shapes to my view

ensure fine focus through my foggy site

do creative minds truly have the right

will all these awkward shapes hold onto you?

Does this colored dream still thrill my rough heart

the flowers at this coffee shop are dead

to place this here in memory for good.

So here I offer painting with a Tart

a poem with some romance to be read

to love each viewer if I only could.

II

You crowded past my art to make self known

you finally can have it your own way

and as an artist truly have a say

to share this lonely path I have not shown.

“Then from the mists around me you arise

my breast is stirred and feels a youthful pain

a magic world that travels on your train”

as faithfully you read collected sighs.

“You suddenly remind me of each joy”

the small things I misplaced I find are near

like a romantic story I once lost.

“Without any consent to remember

first friendships and my love will reappear”

but need to share my art at any cost.

III

All friends have calmly dispersed into air

to share my griefs to nothing but strangers

and each time throngs applaud my heart angers

to write these songs outside of time and care.

If only one reader puts hand to chest

if somewhere out there someone’s truly moved

while quickly vinyl records find their grooved

the passing of each year will provide test.

“And if they live stay scattered through the Earth”

for many years strange spirits have seized me

the need to write Elizabethan Rhymes.

Insatiable this need to create worth

through use of rhythm and each color’s plea

I just create through best and worse of times.

Thank you for the dedication to your readers, Jamie. Comments a few and far between here, but who knows how many actually read and don’t comment. As always your poetry is worthy of praise. Well done.
