The Winds of Change
All through my life,
the winds of change,
have been blowing,
good and bad tidings –
always pushing me along.
They’ve altered my life,
the fates have blessed it,
so all is as it should be
and I’m guided by my lucky star.
Kept me moving along,
leaving behind sterling memories,
of friends and family now long gone,
but with me always in my heart.
The winds of change,
sing me a sweet melody,
that makes me smile,
in times of stormy seas
and so I let them take me along.
They’ve brought me to my true love,
given me a life full of joy,
knowing that love is at last mine,
finding my love was a dream come true –
a feeling so very divine.
Then again the winds,
have let the years blow by,
taking with them the love I shared,
but leaving behind the memories,
that will continue to shine –
throughout my remaining years,
When the winds of change,
continue blowing,
knowing that they make me richer,
far richer than with possession,
but fill my heart and soul,
with so many special things –
that make living so worthwhile.
Knowing someday they’ll carry me away
and I’ll be beside my love for all eternity.

Life does flow along with the winds of change and all is as it should be. Great phrasing in this lovely poem, Rasma.
