Summer Dreams and Summer Days
Summer Dreams and Summer Days …
They were two crazy in love kids,
who found a summer paradise down by a river.
It was a summer of hopes and dreams,
holding hands and first kisses.
Down by the river,
where the willow trees wept,
where there was a fresh smelling meadow,
surrounded by tall pine woods,
offering sweet wild strawberries.
Two teenagers like little lost children,
wandering about,
rolling down hills of clover,
as laughter echoed upon the hot summer air.
Down by the river,
where wild roses grew in abundance,
their perfume filling the air.
Summer dreams and dancing bees,
wild meadow flowers everywhere.
The summer joy that filled their hearts,
hand in hand running through tall grasses.
Summer laughter and summer tears,
sitting beneath tall pines on rainy days.
Glad remembrances of life so carefree,
to be together forever was their wish –
as often in youth, it is.
Days to treasure before they fade away,
leaving only precious memories.
Moonlit nights and the shimmering river,
like molten silver did flow,
to be young and in love,
to have summer,
in your heart –
the whole year through.

Thank you, Rasma. I am doing well except for the heat! I am not a summer person and it has been in the upper 90s here – I stay inside as much as possible and do any gardening between 5:00 AM to 7:00 AM. I hope all is well with you and you are staying safe and healthy. Take care.
