Still Believing
I stand before the last door,
knowing not what is behind it,
the autumn or the winter,
whether I should find,
golden and red leaves,
dancing upon the wind
or lacy snowflakes
and icicles shining in the sun.
It’s better not to know,
to close my eyes
and walk across a rainbow,
into a world of fantasy,
where the life that I lost while living –
waits silently for me.
Still believing,
there is a paradise beyond,
where behind the clouds,
the sun forever shines.
Where by flowing rivers,
peace you can find,
where lovers unite,
families come together
and souls soar free.
In my dreams,
I’ve searched for you,
only to find,
I cannot pass through.
You can reach for me
and I for you,
knowing our love is still true
and still believing you’re forever mine.
Now the road through life,
is rocky and rough,
I no longer have your hand to hold,
but I know your love,
shines upon me each day
and someday together we’ll be.
The chains that hold me to life,
don’t want to let go,
there is still the joy of living,
the passion of loving
and my heart still searches,
believing in the beauty –
that comes with each new spring.
I can still remember you,
the memories shine bright
and I go on alone through life –
still believing…

This is sad but beautiful, Rasma, but never lose hope that you will be together again in a peaceful place, holding hands by gently flowing rivers.
Thank you, John. Oh, yes, I keep believing.
Thank you Rasma, your words touch the heart. Jamie
You’re welcome, Jamie.
