The Weather and Me
Yielding change aspires a blissful recall
of halcyon days in loving memory,
when rain like tears drowned the verity
of clinging woe, hurt that won’t let go,
and as those changes in time and hue
rearrange the skies, pain fades from view,
somehow placated within the cycles
of time’s updating.

Pain melts in cleansing rains,
fires fought and lost, and as for cost,
time alleviates the sting, the scars
a reminder of what learning brings,
knowledge a shell of purity
worn in the surety of sagacious stand,
where blindness in a river stream
finally leads to clarity.

Eyes meld with unpredictable skies,
blissful dawns and gloaming sighs
enacting moods and in curiosity’s lies
finds black and white truths
amid the endless hues of compromise,
and in this epiphany of sight and allegiance
there is peace, a knowing
that being is indeed synchronised.

Awakening
Beyond the tree-line, an open field
blessed with wild-flower rushes, radiate,
flushes of vivid colour streams
meanders through trees and wild grass,
together leaning towards heaven’s vow
of purity, as sunlight shards comfort
every praised leaf and bow,
every blade and shoot reaching,
attesting green and yearning dreams
to a surrendered being.

Blossoms from fruit-trees,
explode in pristine white and mauve,
as if to speak in unanimous review
of sunlight hues in warming hold,
the mould of sentient beings
wrapped within softest petals,
rejoicing sentiments of gratitude
for all in family united,
excited for the season, their silent run
a coloured joyful reason.

Every aspect speaks
in whispered collusion,
every leaf and node, every stamen
coded for future’s delight,
and bees oversee the wonder,
their humming like
a love song in the tempered breeze,
the echoes of Summer’s awakening,
in every countenance, dreaming
of perfection’s play.
