Diving With My Dream – Surreal Memories Awakened

dream

Fingertips…

Brushing the amber waters

Amazed at the elasticity

And yet intrigued…

The taste is sweet

Like ripe cherries plucked from the tree

Luxurious feel on the tongue

Yet too loud for prolonged enjoyment

So, in deference to the silence

We must abstain

From consumption

Dive in…

Weightlessness awaits

An impossibility of vision

The dream on the bottom

Unreachable

Except by a single eye

An exotic ocular experience

Poses rumors

Thought shared to the inner mind

From the outer mind

Kept in secret

Memories…

Future moments enshrined

Frozen like sculpted ice

What does the future hold…

Or the hand

And the color green of course

Collisions of thought

Absorption

Sorption, maybe just a dream

Or perhaps only an exchange

Of momentum

When we dream…

Surreal

Yet painted with the brush of life

That which was

Reborn into that which might be

Or should be

Could be

Perhaps totally forgotten

Lost in translation

The klaxon shattering

An awakening

The experience of anything possible and things unimagined have intrigued human beings for centuries.  We spend countless hours trying to interpret and understand them, but what if a dream is only a dream….what would it mean?

“Surreal” describes this well, Ralph. Is this really a depiction of your dreams? Interesting. Nice work.

I could see the “surreal” dream like images as if a movie while I read your poem. I thoroughly enjoyed the experience Ralph. Thank you for sharing. Jamie

It expresses very deep feelings, something lying at the bottom of the heart.
