Undead Poets Society Forevermore

The Undead Poets Society Forevermore:

This a tribute to poets of all ages, sexes, races and color,

“Poetry is not just the writing of words in lines and verse, form and meter or using device. It is more than that. It isn’t just sitting under a tree reading words from a long dead hand. It is in essence a connection of heart and soul between poet and reader. The reading is just as important as the writing. That is what The Undead Poet’s Society is about. Sharing as readers and poets.” Roxi St Clair

Undead Poets Society Forevermore:

Too many a scribe who fetches from distant shores,
a sconce and listens awhile, the sea unfolds great wonders,
the sirens from the deep are heard, the poet knows too well,
the secrets it offers up.

Long dead poets come to life newness is breathed into their
long stilled lungs, no one forgets them, though they sleep
forevermore in graves created too early for some and others
long awaiting its grasp to drag them to hell and back,
never forgotten yet lifted up by many of us today.

Man has created verse throughout the Universe, its silence has
never been stilled, the words of poets echo throughout the
corridors of castles, churches, parliaments and learned places.

On many a road twisted and less travelled, in back lanes, shops
brothels and jails, the poet dwelled. Many alone in the darkness,
mad with passion and inspiration they could not be silenced,
a prisoner locked away to be forgotten, yet they managed to
scratch their verse to surface and be transcribed for all generations
to enjoy, the Marquis left his mark, erotica was born and
for many it adorned from Kings and Queens to the young ones
reading secretly behind their chamber doors.

Poetry can not be shut out, its ashes though buried with authors
of long ago, it rises up and comes forth through others it finds
and enabling the Muses left to carry on and seek the poets who
open their souls and hearts to receive them, many will do so, others
will wish they could, struggling to bend a verse or two they leave
in rhyme, yet failing to stir the hearts of man-kind.

Vincent Moore

Vincent Moore pens his thoughts about many things and has a style all his own. Sometimes, he parties with words excessively and it becomes necessary to publish quickly lest his work be lost in the dark corners of his room or his mind. Vincent will lead you into mysterious worlds that are strange yet somehow familiar, worlds that will leave you unsettled and breathless for more. He was born and raised in Montreal Canada among the Irish, Brits, Italians and French. Point St Charles (commonly called The Point) was the Hell’s kitchen of Montreal. He played, cried, laughed and fought on the street corners, survival was an instinct and watching each others back important. Vincent left home at 17 to find his way in the world, failure and success he had plenty of. He studied the Arts and loved to draw and paint. Took acting lessons and envied those on the stage under the bright lights and hoped to some day become an actor, writer, playwright or painter. Vincent welcomes you to his world of mystery, fantasy and solitude. You can find a few of his writings in one of 3 books he's published. In Absinthia- In Melancholia and In Passionata.

Vincent you are by far the most inspiring poet I have every read – bar none. You are not a factory of prolific poetry just to soothe a narcissistic personality like so many poets are. Each and every thought and word you pen has passion behind it and becomes a song for the mind and ears. I tip my hat to you my Canadian friend.

I can’t thank you enough by your kind words Kurt. I am profoundly humbled by them my friend. There are many forms of poetry, as well many poets who convey their own art in their own fashion. I simply am inspired deeply, I have a great visual sense of what I pen, it comes to me from somewhere beyond myself. My past is vividly transposed in verse and prose, I live, feel and breath every word gifted me. I am moved by my surroundings and passionate about my work as so many other poet colleagues of mine are. When someone like yourself expresses their inner feelings about my work, I am stirred deeply and it confirms for me that I am moving others, some to tears, some to laughter and some simply feeling that they lived what I conveyed in a piece. Thank you Kurt, I am moved by your words.

A great society to be a part of indeed. I’d like to think that a small piece of me is part of it. I know this has already been conveyed to you, but, your words here are truly inspiring, and I draw my inspiration from guys like you, Tony, kurt, it’s almost like an old world flair in your words that I really enjoy. So much emotion behind each word, excellent piece my friend.

Indeed your brilliant work firmly places you in the society of free thinkers. I thank you for your kind and encouraging words Paul. I draw my inspirations as well from poets of your character and strength. My words come to me from a Muse very possibly from that old world you speak of, I have often read my work after it’s penned and wondered how did this transform from me to the page. But I don’t question it any longer, I am simply a vessel like many of us creative poets, you certainly being one of them my friend. I respect and appreciate your accolades with humility and humbleness. Peace and blessings I send to you this day Paul.
