Construed Belief

Not he, the purveyor of a hatred dark,
but his minions who, after indoctrination,
measured the scope of foul deeds
to be unleashed in his name,
and by their hand such heinous crimes
attested his words, so invested in their transition,
that what was created was far worse
than his intentions, as his disciples
found a new darkness beyond his own.
And so hatred had a new banner,
fed on truths a dark heart had,
and through its dissemination
a Chinese whisper did grow,
and truths became lies wrapped in righteous words,
rules became laws of an arrogant state,
and many suffered at their hands,
women so degraded to serve beyond reproach,
the vile deviant wishes of man.
A military state emerged,
where zealots had the power of life and death,
for the excuses of their own weakness,
and blame became their mantra,
torture and death their righteous will,
perpetrated upon their enemies and their own,
for they were the hand of God,
and hatred was His wrath,
an epitaph for a sacred path.
And in that name, an army grew,
the lost and the misconstrued,
as they found favor in the lies and power,
promises for their ignorant minds
that brought hatred to a state of mind,
and in stoic stance they waged war
on everything not of their belief,
and grief was their clothing,
for all the death and pain that did abide their will.
Thousands of years pass, and they still continue
the hatred, the pain upon the world,
and one has to ask, what sense in their intent,
to convert a world or death,
and women are still slaves to these holy men,
trapped in a closed world of sanctity and sin,
and the world cannot understand their dogmatic view,
their archaic take on a modern life,
expecting their belief to rule.

It is a life and belief of hate and condemnation. Great work, Tony. It sure makes me appreciate a life of love and spirituality. Well done. Take care.
Thanks, Phyllis, yes, you and me both. Glad you enjoyed it. Cheers!
First and foremost the picture is amazing, I loved it. Secondly this was so surreal and descriptive. The depiction of women as inferior makes me sick to my stomach, yet still this type of belief happens in modern day so sad and infuriating. Great work Tony.
Glad you appreciated the work Paul, yes it amazes me that such beliefs can still exist in this day and age. Cheers!
