We of Wicked Mind

We of Wicked Mind
We of Wicked Mind

Wicked the ways of the mind,
so fraught with deception and secrets,
held so closely to itself, like a shadow,
we in our consciousness cannot see,
and we are an anomalous entity,
pitted against ourselves,
a subconscious with devout intentions of protection
and a consciousness none the wiser.

Who rules this land,
this fortress within, its walls impenetrable,
and what will bring both sides together
in the transparency of knowledge,
to be shared for the whole;
yet one doesn’t trust the other,
a fail-safe of protection to hide the faults
and mistakes of a imperfect being.

One the keeper of keys,
the doubts and insecurities locked away,
fashioned in the surface world as bravado,
a perfect rendering of human resolve,
and delusions the undercurrent of truth,
held at bay by a subconscious concern,
that truth will collapse a life built,
a life aspired to be.

When will honesty abide life’s truth,
there is no authentic life without it,
and the more we close ourselves from fear,
the more we repress any potential we have,
and those imperfections we so worry about,
will bring us down eventually,
truth has a way of rising to the surface,
despite our lengthy employs in resistance.

If we do not connect to our subconscious mind,
we remain at its mercy, its fears and concerns,
when living life in clarity gives freedom,
not bound by negative thoughts,
but open and unabashedly honest
as to who we are, in our imperfect state,
and in that state we may focus on betterment,
realize our faults and try to overcome them.

In a human life we are both conscious
and unconscious, we have an ego, a persona
that will dictate thoughts and actions
based on our needs of balance and our aspirations,
and imbalance occurs when one steps over the line,
as one becomes more important than the others,
that is why transparency is paramount,
to keep in check the problems we can so easily create.

Ah yes indeed, our minds can entrap us and make us feel lofty or as low as low can get. The arguments within, the conflict of decisions. I struggle with my mind daily, it wants to do one thing and I the other. Reaching middle ground is important in our struggles. The mind is an amazing electrical circuit board, a never ending puzzle to me. Clarity is so important Tony, I try to overcome my faults on a daily basis. Wicked the mind is indeed, I will continue to struggle with it until my dying breath and possibly beyond. Cheers.
