The Fae and Nature’s Will

The Fae abide nature’s will,
their purpose to help nurture and instill
a loving care in every aspect of life and growth,
and believe or not their tiny forms,
their lights are so often seen
in quiet nights in clearings filled with joy,
as they give praise to life’s array
and in joyous dance and song,
give thanks for their existence.
Winged creatures of delicate stock,
so slender and so quick to mock
and giggle in rapturous laughter,
as their fun is who they are,
and joy the passion of their work,
their loving hands and generous quirky ways,
as they tend the roots and leaves of plants,
ensuring health and nourishment
in nature’s realm of play.
Each one unique,
their little faces and smiles sincere,
and clothing they themselves do make,
from woven fabrics of fallen stalks and leaves
in wake of seasons passed,
and their diaphanous wings a blur,
they hover then dash off at lightning speed,
like fireflies, at night they dot the forest
with fairy light.
I love to watch them dance in a gleeful state,
each night in secret hiding place,
and if you’re still and respect their ways,
they will let you stay and watch them,
in nights so dark, frosted in moonbeams,
they play til dawn,
and then to sleep in their high up woven beds,
atop the trees in shadows they rest,
until in gloaming light, they rise to work.
When one comes upon a fairy glen,
you’ll know straight away,
for the lush green of mosses and life abounds,
so vivid in the forest surrounds,
and every nook and cranny seems to hide a little face,
a little life lived in grace,
and a clearing not far denotes their part
in nature’s magical place.

Oh! how I love the land of the fae. It is one of my fondest past times to watch the tiny souls dance and sing. Their way of life is so joyful, meaningful, and delightful. I do believe I once lived among them and sometimes long to return. Beautifully penned work, Tony. Thank you for sharing this. Take care dear friend.
The realm of nature is miraculous in so many ways, and nature spirits are so much a part of the flow of energy that sustains life. Glad you enjoyed it, Phyllis. Take care
