Our Mother, Her Kindness Ours to Value

How life transcends us, our vastly limited views,
and what is real within its rhyme,
turns our limited views askew,
for complexity is ours in pursuit of the new,
but simplicity rings loudest,
when we begin to understand its muse.
Cycles dominate our ways,
we see the turn, the nights and days unfold,
and in contrast of weather and nature’s moods,
we contemplate our being within its many folds,
but so little seems to affect change within us
as we so disregard nature’s truths.
She is our mentor, our guide in life,
her will the cycles we adhere, her cruelty and strife,
yet without intention she follows her path,
and we in her shadow know,
not to antagonize her wrath,
for hers is the path of cause and effect.
Nature is a beacon, of light upon the earth,
a living breathing entity of invaluable worth,
our home, our solace and mother,
she allow us to be immersed
in all of her beauty, her changes and nuances,
the teaching she must assert.
Through her eyes we are cleansed,
filled with beauty to amend our selfish ways,
and we see what miracles abide within her days,
as night reveal her gentle rest,
her nurture all we can attest,
as she delivers kindness in her way.
I love to just sit beneath a open sky,
to gaze at infinity, in wonder of its eyes
looking back upon my simple mind,
sharing a quiet moment,
her kindness to sympathize my yearning,
to understand the quest of life, and me discerning.
Nature is our mother,
our profound teacher in life,
and through her eyes we may learn of all
that here on earth transpires, and
as we know her more intimately,
her ways and followed moods,
to give us cause to celebrate
her open arms,
her kindness we cannot lose.

So blessed we are when attuned to the Mother, so much we can learn when observing nature and being a part of her glorious wonders. Lovely piece, Tony. It is great how your words can show us we are never far from nature and the Mother’s heart. Take care dear poet.
Glad you enjoyed it Phyllis, yes we are never far from nature’s beauty and will. Cheers!
