From a Dream, it Changed Everything

The dream it seemed
gave her a self-esteem
she’d always dreamed of having,
where doubts were out
and flown away,
the day so much brighter,
but even though it was make-believe,
it seemed to her the answer
to her dreams.
With passion and hope
she strode the path once coped
only by a thread,
but now her gait was so innately strong,
heads would turn and notice
this girl so filled with confidence,
it was wrong not to notice,
as she glided through the throng
of human streets.
How changed the world,
this girl’s lost cause now flourishing
in the maze, the haze
that once accompanied her,
deterred by the praise that she accepted,
in the wake of this new found testament
to an attitude of pride,
replacing the inferiority
she once imbibed.
A social butterfly was she,
in glee the happiest soul to ever be,
all because of confidence,
an injection of a cognizance,
a sure fire revelation of acceptance,
no reticence for this mold,
a story now be told in her success,
a transforming of a girl regressed
to her natural ways.
Then it did occur to her,
how all this change appeared
from of an attitude,
one step into all she wanted from a dream,
it seemed unlikely but so true,
she had transformed in a moment, a view
given strength from a thought
it seemed,
how miraculously we can change.

Miraculous indeed. This is a great piece, Tony. Life is so wonderful when we hold our dream close and have faith in ourselves. Thank you for reminding me. Take care.
Glad you related Phyllis, there are so many people who shrink from life just based on fears and inferiority. So easily it can change. Cheers!
