Fire Woman

Fire woman

Difficult to control

So don’t bother

You’ll just get burned

Skin boiling

Scars of ash

Sight blinded

Instead

Admire her light

Bask in her heat

Respectfully

There’s danger

In the distance

Stand alert

Always remember

She signifies renewal

So says the Phoenix

And so says the lightning

See with your eyes

Saddle your hands

With stillness

Lest they betray you

See that which is

And not what supposed

A torch is but a torch

Flame simply flame

Tools for tasks

Light from the darkness

Yet managed by man

Look to the south

Search the wild

Through distant valleys

To the banks of the river

A gathering of stone

Iron, wood, and eternity

Mastery discovered

Great forges of the ancients

Furnaces of creation

Faceless blacksmiths

Hammering

Shaping

Blow after blow

Heat, quench, pound, repeat

Folding in destruction, chaos

Rage and pain

But also rebirth

Renewal

And love

Nicely penned and expressed, and fire in itself, one of our base elements in life, which has afforded us survival is indeed worthy of worship as it has been since the beginning. Great work my friend.

Beautifully expressed Ralph. The Phoenix a symbol of renewal and fire like Tony said a tool of creation described so well, excellent work my friend.
