As Volcanoes Rumble

As Volcanoes Rumble
As Volcanoes Rumble

Where tranquility and devastation
live side by side,
beauty in diverse profusion thrives,
atop the rich dark earth of Mother’s core,
an umbilicus of a harsh birth,
a possibility of so much more.

We are but visitors here,
passing flames lit then snuffed,
and while freedom is our cause,
we our bound to earth,
and when She has had enough,
She may take what She has given.

She wields a power of awesome resolve,
cycles and purpose beyond our meager thoughts,
absolved of any intent other than balance,
for her world is harmony,
no penance necessary, just the flow,
the living breathing earth to know.

In times of danger, her process, her wishes,
we must abide her will,
and know this devastation is not instilled
with any malice, just cycles as the seasons,
no grievance just balance,
for us to understand.

For those caught in the ongoing release,
I wish safety and a kind peace in acceptance,
for all is as it should be,
the earth still in infancy,
and I pray for survival in this maelstrom of hardship,
within the power of Mother’s cause.

Cycles bind this earth, our lives included,
and endings are just new beginnings,
eluding us maybe, in our malady of pain,
yet this is life, in all its propensity,
so let life itself rearrange our lives,
finding place as the smoke clears.

Dramatic spewing truth, as Mother releases,
keeps the pressure in balance,
the growth in change and a ballast
for the unsinkable resolve of life,
the ongoing evolution of matter, of being,
woven into the miracle.

The Mother gives us so much, yet when She must take we can only abide and flow with the balance. I planted a prayer tree on the little mountain this morning for those affected by Kilauea. Beautiful work, Tony, stirs the heart and soul. Well done.
