Absurdity Unleashed
Believing absurdity is a human disease,
those with whom we should share common goals,
just vacant holes in the universe,
black holes sucking everything in,
and truths like frightened sheep run for the hills,
a world filled with ills too much to contain,
drains any sentient sense,
and we stand before leaders with no brain,
agendas of unequivocal absurdity.
There’s no understanding,
not accounting for insanity,
just a knowledge that it leads nowhere of worth,
and bound to amass collateral damage
in everything that moves,
so how did we deserve this, so crazy
I’m set adrift in a sea of uncertainty,
yet people believed the unbelievable,
so drowned in desperate hope
that anything was better than the present.
The world now teeters,
one man’s disheveled mind
a step in time to annihilation,
war and dissipation of all our potential,
a bloated ego and an innate denial of self,
driving insanity to new heights,
wrongs to rights like dice thrown
to determine life,
in a play I wish to have no end.
A pouting, arrogant recalcitrant,
a bloated umpa-lumpa,
orange faced and laced with bravado
that he in no way could pull off,
just a front for insanity’s ways,
the great pretender who knows nothing,
just the need for a puffed up self,
as power is wielded, thoughtlessly,
provocation vehemently
exacted for maximum effect.
Who deserves this, in any context,
driven to desperation by uncompromising greed,
to forge a new path of insanity,
and who will in the end benefit,
as he just a puppet to all those who are even worse.

Nice writing , One of the reasons I came to TCE was because it wasn’t polluted by politics and I actually love debating politics , I thought TCE was going to be a fresh start as we all had hoped early on , Creative writing , and one of the reasons I haven’t been around here much . So we all left the politics of art hating Hubpages to join the politics of TCE I guess ? You are however a very daily diligent and creative writer .
