Purpose, Perspective and Fateful Conclusions

Purpose, Perspective and Fateful Conclusions
Purpose, Perspective and Fateful Conclusions

This mortal shell, so delicate,
so fragile in manifestation of our thoughts,
yet stoic in physicality,
able to struggle fearlessly to survive.

But it is we who determine outcomes,
our thoughts, our doubts,
our perspective the driving force of what will ensue,
the outcomes of our learning and our obstinacy.

For we can only see reality
when we are ready to accept it,
and no manner of persuasion or inspiration
can manifest an outcome without it.

Life and death are but simple transitions,
death an unavoidable reality we all must face,
but how we face it and how we see our choices,
can change everything.

No matter our will, there is purpose,
learning and growth that often determines a physical end,
and the more open we are to all change,
the easier transitioning is.

Life is about learning,
finding purpose and love our greatest achievement,
and when we live open to change,
we extend our lives because the learning path is ongoing.

Giving up, living in despair with a negative mind
simply creates circumstances that can end our life,
learning no longer chosen, and therefore
earthly existence no longer viable.

Without something to look forward to,
a future with plans and expectations,
we are vulnerable to lethargy
and a stagnation of mind and body.

Life offers endless opportunities,
yet without connection and participation,
life no longer has purpose
and without overcoming this malaise,
we cement our destiny.

Glad you appreciated it Phyllis; I have a friend struggling with cancer at present, amidst horrid Chemo and my thoughts turn to thoughts as these.

I am sorry to hear that, Tony. Chemo treatments are horrid – both my mother and sister have gone through that. I hope all turns out well for your friend.
