Nighttime With A Window View

Moving car

Cityscape

Nighttime with a window view

Electric lights

Sounds and sights

Just a traveler passing though

Asphalt patches

Cracked concrete

Slow drive along on the avenue

Exit ramps

Homeless camps

Billboards advertising shoes

Bolted doors

Working girls

Monuments and crumbling statues

Window bars

Abandoned cars

Graffiti art in shades of blue

Tenements

Cooking smells

Moldy walls, trash, and mildew

Police sirens

Children crying

Twenty four hour, house of tattoo

Taking it in

While moving past

Why it is, I have no clue

Poetry of the City

The Weed Covered Lot

Night Falls in the Capture

Winter Days, Flight Delays

I write about everything and sometimes nothing at all.I'm fascinated by old things, rusty things, abandoned places, or anywhere that a secret might be unearthed.I'm passionate about history and many of my pieces are anchored in one concept of time or another.I've always been a writer, dating back to my youth, but the last decade has been a time of growth for me.I'm continually pushing the limitations of vocabulary, syntax, and descriptive phrasing.

Lovely piece which describes the movements of the city so well. The city is a fluent environment by itself, all these little things play a part in the waves of the city. Nice work Ralph. Sorry I’ve been absent for a while. Haven’t been feeling too good lately. Anyway nice one.
