Nobody’s Home

Nobody’s Home …

nobody's home

Reaching out into depth less seas

where waves invite and rebuke

those of errant pleasures pleased

beyond self thoughts of aspirated —-

For minds and hearts and brains select

that which is of greatest manifest

oh, where sweet winds do detect

passion’s lofting cradle rest

From time’s passive watch unto the yawn

nighttime becomes of and unto its realm

horizons take hand within lighted dawn

as dark and fantasy fight for disputed helm

Arms within eternal ever pushing reach

crave sweet warmth from arriving storms

souls amid spirits ever burgeoning teach

caress entwining of impassioned cold and warm

As artful distance is of plentiful grace

so do rancid beatitudes always forever roam

portraits fingers paint in eternal trace

when in truthful essence nobody’s home

Waving mists from all indulgent waves

bordering those sprees from horizon’s bounds

enter those pragmatic eternal staves

when if pondering ever stoic grounds

Beyond transference of emotion’s greed

there exists persisting receding linger

while originally insisted personified seed

gets that masterfully designed original finger

Perception beyond where perception starts

small eyes become amazingly wide

when deeply within an overripe attending heart

beams forth not wanting ever again to hide

When emotion’s opulence careens on through

amending that which originally occurred

unbalanced colors emerge in such radically dominate hues

nothing ever again, so to speak, is ever to be blurred

One wonders, amid that eternally bogged down scheme of things

where, and if, masterful seasons do completely roam

when one heart arrives in prearranged sweet sing

why at any given time, why nobody’s home

I have been writing since 1967, basically as an emotional release, but in the last few years I have become interested in creation of forms as well as being socially accepted by my peers. So, here I am. Relate to me, please!

Sad and emotive expressions and fantastic rhyming skills make for a very elegant poem my friend. Very expressive and solid verse. Nice work.
