Where Eagles Soar

Where Eagles Soar

Where Eagles Soar
“Where eagles soar” – when folks ask where I come from,
Prideful and loud – this is always what I tell everyone.

Where eagles soar – I was born in this amazing place,
Each and every day I look to the heavens and God’s good grace.

My dreams are those of stars, red, white, and blue,
As I bask in the glow of the Rocky Mountain hue.

Where eagles soar, we all have the same chance,
Where “Freedom” is more than a word – it is the only dance.

From the Pacific to the Atlantic this land is full of dreams,
From the byways and highways – and the Rocky Mountain streams.

Where eagles soar happiness is always within our grip,
In America everyone man, woman, and child are a member of the partnership.

I salute all that have died to make the promise land free,
The left and the right of America – on this we all agree.

Where eagles soar – we have our problems there is no doubt of that,
But, if you poke us in the eye we will fight you like a wild cat.

Where eagles soar, we are stronger than some may think,
For if you try to harm the land we love – believe me you better rethink.

In Philadelphia the Liberty Bell the brass is shining, but silent and broken,
The symbol for all of America’s freedom that have ever been spoken.

Where eagles soar I say my pledge and salute my flag,
This is the greatest country and I don’t kneel for the anthem I like to brag.

This is my country beautiful and patriotic America – where eagles soar,
If somehow my patriotism should offend you, – get your ass out the door!

When I see an Eagle I cannot help but to feel proud and patriotic. I watch the Eagles every day as they soar over the little mountain behind my home. It was a wise choice to put the Eagle up there as our symbol of freedom and patriotism. Great and enjoyable verse, Kurt. Well done.

Same here Phyllis- Sometimes I think we in America have become spoiled and do not take heed of all the good this country does. We have to look beyond our own petty differences in this country and look at the big picture. I know there are some that will argue that we are not the greatest country in the world, but they are wrong. I am proud and grateful to live in a country where the eagles soar.

Exactly. You don’t like this place, you can leave. Nicely penned my friend. Good patriotic feel.

Thank you Paul for your patriotic comment – as you can tell I feel much the same myself.
