All I Want is Honesty

All I Want is Honesty
All I Want is Honesty

Truly, words said in honesty,
emotions shed in the smooth plains of reality,
manifest in truth from a heart open,
no games or deceit in motion,
just an open soul truly evolved
to utter sincerity, unopposed.

How often I seek it, and
so often my expectations wanting,
for all the twisted truths evoked
by folks with secrets held,
unwilling to meld with truth
and be who they truly are, no veils felt.

The repetition is disappointing,
the scale of lies abhorrent,
when all I want is sharing,
not staring down the barrel of lies,
and my face must slump into a malaise,
the moment the truth is displaced.

Yet over and over,
the comfort of the lie is chosen,
for some misguided elevation of self,
a wanted truth that bares no reality,
and becomes the causality of a blatant reveal,
a sad and disappointing ruse, I can no longer abide.

For those I malign,
what a waste of time you suffer,
unable to share at all, as
no lie can restore what is held as reality,
and no trust can ever develop,
or help a relationship be true.

Honesty is no small matter,
for what can we be
in the shadow of dishonesty,
nothing more than a hologram,
an illusion of reality
clothed in painted untruths, a ruse.

A relationship must begin with and maintain honesty, sincerity from the heart. Sharing is a most important part of a relationship. If truths cannot be adhered to and shared then there is no foundation for an enduring relationship. Great piece, Tony. What you are seeking is ready to manifest when the time is right. Take care. x
