Comfort is an misnomer, as it is not circumstances
but how we respond to them that gives us that comfort,
and in as much as we may think it, so shall it be,
revealing we may be comfortable no matter what ensues,
difficult or not, invasive or at our periphery,
its all the same, as a man thinketh.
Life is a succession of choices,
each with their own consequences and path,
if we accept all circumstances
with a considered open positivism,
then they are not obstacles but merely steps to take
in resolution of our daily challenges.
Comfort and a peaceful mind is then accepted
as a normal state, and nothing can disarm it,
as acceptance is a part of taking responsibility
for our lives, nothing more,
and challenges are just lessons in life’s path,
not some panic of believed persecution.
Comfort, peace of mind and pleasures
are all available to us in every circumstance,
should we be open and accepting of the path,
accepting of the gain in knowledge,
in circumstance and the aftermath of change,
the vehicle of our evolving.
Being the victim of our lives is stagnation,
unable to accept responsibility, living in fear
and suffering at our own hands,
when we so easily may change our thinking
to face adversity head on, and learn,
as is own purpose.
Too much I hear the moaning of victims,
blaming and squirming amid their own created circumstances,
to never face themselves or accept their faults,
rather squander their opportunities to learn
and keep themselves in the stillness of inaction,
refusing to come to terms with self.
