The Insider…

Denial makes leathery skin,
viscous blood from endless sin,
and heart like a old stalled clock,
random beats, anaphylactic shock,
as lack of communication leads,
to infected throats, infestation,
as constipation the mark of holding,
not letting go, no words explaining,
and stomach pain the stress of worry,
sinus attacks the lack of faith,
and all our body the bane of thought,
nothing dealt just hurts us all.

Every thought and every action,
each problem reveals in physical sanctions,
and fail each and every moment,
we ignore the truth but body owns it,
and illness follows in apt timing,
our mistakes and blockages
like clockwork rhyming,
to elevate our mind,
sanctify the knowledge that we control,
and can alleviate the whole,
when our body tells us to change,
to rearrange our thoughts,
and be healthy again.

Words are tools to health or illness,
actions attest our intentions,
and the body cries out
when imbalance prevails,
each facet of thought
aligned to our physical functions,
and symptoms the key to what ails.

I believe the words / phrases we use do have an affect on our physical health. A friend of mine used to often say “that makes me sick!” – and she often was till she stopped saying that. Your verse is a very strong message to become more aware of our language use. Well done, Tony.

Thanks Phyllis, Our thinking and circumstances have long been known to have a direct effect on our health, and a tool to remedy our physical problems. It is best never to hold anything in, not speak your mind and thus be free from limitations. Unresolved issues with relationships or circumstances can eventually kill us if we do not forgive and let go. Glad you related, Phyllis.
