Forever Remember You

Broken disarray …

My mind still tries to forget you
My dreams still try to free you
Our pursuit of one another ended in broken disarray
After another tells you they love you,
Yet turn and walk away
My heart flutters at thoughts of you
To remind me that I willingly played
The part of a childish fool
Thinking I could easily get over you
You and your pull over my mind and soul
I should have allowed you the courtesy of slapping me
As if it might somehow even the score
For I am the one who cannot forget
So I issue this apology filled with sincere regret.
