They Wage War for Their Own Wanting Souls
At my end, surrounded by malignant people,
whose delusions are impenetrable
by reason or sense,
and it is their manipulations that trouble my life,
gathered enablers believing their trite ambiguity,
and always me the devil,
the blame of every one, when truly
I stand by idle, wondering what has begun.
Innocents is never enough,
for dark people too quickly believe in hatred and spite,
just because it empowers them,
an illusion of betterment,
when truly they are lost to their hurtful intentions,
and despite their every move, I am apart from them,
quiet in my peaceful heart, and loving
where love is held in grace.
They cannot change me,
cannot raise the devil they believe abides,
but the cloud that casts shadows is wearing,
and I seek only the lessons to be learned,
from these lost souls who cannot discern truth,
and so I cling to reality, my creative life, and
purify my thoughts to not partake as they,
the negativity they portray.
I cannot fathom the choice of abuse and harm,
and can only justify it as ignorance,
for what result from hurt
can add to a life of worth,
and what pleasure is giving pain and suffering
to another who has clung to a positive mind,
I just don’t get it,
how people can be so broken.
Instead of blame, I seek stillness of mind,
meditations to clean my thoughts,
and pray these lost souls revelation,
to change their sad and hateful offensive,
for they bury themselves, stagnate
within their petty attacks,
and in the end perhaps they’ll see truth,
and feel regret for all their lack of love.

Those who want to harm others have something missing in their own life, mainly love and spirituality. They are bereft of reason and goodness, so they attack that which is good and beautiful, in order to make themselves feel better and justified. Be like the lotus flower, for you are above their pettiness. Very emotive and well penned verse, Tony. Take care.
Thanks Phyllis. Yes I’m over all this malicious talk and blame that people have been leveling at me out of jealousy for caring for their parents. They have won, taking my best friend away from me to live in another state. He is just too old to deal with their manipulation. I am so sad for what they’ve done. Take care my friend.
