Rave Dance – Feeling the Music

Sun going down

Going to a rave…

People perking up

Hand in hand…

Entering the lights

M’Lady…

Walk to the dance floor

Excitement building…

Wait for the beat

Thoughts are spinning…

Feet start feeling

Eyes are closing…

Hips join in

Blood is pumping…

Everything’s flowing

Heart is thumping…

Music is blaring

Feet start jumping…

People are sharing

Bodies start bumping…

Couples are paring

Fists are pumping…

Volume is climbing

Ears are humming…

Keyboards chiming

Pounding drumming…

Lyrics rhyming

Records turning…

Crowd is flying

Cuts are burning…

Towards the skies

Track are mixing…

Getting high

Techno-disco-oh no…

Dance all night

Samples dismantled…

Wait for light

Music reanimation…

Morning sunshine

Audio deconstruction…

What a sight

Thunderous production…

Waning night

Last induction…

Closing time

And we’re out…

Felling fine

Authors Note About The Rave Idea

The tone of this piece mimics a person at a rave; getting pumped up at first waiting for the start and then allowing the music to take control of their bodies and finally to become totally immersed; so much that the night passes by in a blink of a rave eye!  It’s fast, raw, and exciting.  The thumping winds down and the revellers make their way home; happy and high on the music!

I could feel that rhythm and the tone of your verse bounces right along after the beat starts. I sure miss those days of getting lost in the music as the feet and body flow with the rhythm. This is a great piece, Ralph. Thanks for bringing back the urge to get up and join the rave.

Nice pace as the words in flow with the music, impart that rise and fall of energy that is a rave. Well done Ralph. Small oversight…’Wait for the beat’. Cheers!

You had me raving and a waving to the beat Ralph. I use to be quite the rocker in my time, loved to dance, had my own style, but didn’t we all? lol Getting high and feeling mellow was a fine thing for this fellow. A cold beer or two or three brought out the rhythm and this cat was tapping all over the dance floor with a beauty or two sharing the floor with me. Oh, those were the days……….Nicely penned Ralph, I could hear the music.
