What If Today I Let Hope Go
What if today I let hope go
What if today I feel like I have no soul
There is no point in the release of a scream
No point in clinging to a pointless dream
That amounts to pretty much a silly hobby
No room for tears or for any sobbing
What if today I feel like an empty shell
Perhaps it would be better to be in hell
Why? – One must feel alive to feel pain
Today there is plenty to lose, plenty to gain
But is it even worth it either way
What if today I just don’t care anyway
