Doubts and Complicity

Doubts and Complicity
Doubts and Complicity

Too many times
have I painstakingly suffered
the indignity of reproach,
when aware I have been
of my own hand’s deeds,
my own ignorant seed
addressing life.

No blame can remedy,
no judgement prevail,
when tis I,
foolish in my misappropriation,
robbing myself of right,
to wallow in the ineptitude
of my stoic imperfection.

I forge my own consequence,
as a matter of course,
and slowly have I recognized
I drive the source to fruition,
and by my own hand
suffer or enjoy the manifestation
of my intent.

A lesson learned,
a habit as yet not earned,
that I drag my soulful self
through the mire of complicity,
as I have not fully accepted my faults,
and ego does pry open wounds,
to be salted and consumed by failure.

Too many times,
my ego speaks of higher thought,
yet falls to what should not be,
spoken words a parody of truth,
but the soul knows,
as truth flows through open veins,
where I truly know my limits.

May I rise above this human shell,
the constant knell of death
my stops and starts,
where learning is slow,
and pain avows respite,
to bask in truth
and alleviate my plight.

And human you are on your journey to discover fully your Self, rise above and become ever more spiritual. This is a very inspirational piece, Tony, to guide others into looking within, embracing Self with all our faults and achievements to spiritually grow. A great life lesson for all. Thank you for sharing this and helping me along my way, as you often do.
