Beyond the End, as Words Transcend

Transcend life with words..
May death hold my thoughts of beauty
and words that sang in lilting resound,
and all the love I did aspire,
not lost to dust but chaste, abound,
as beauty’s pleasure in infinite knell,
lives on beyond this mortal shell,
and meaning soar in lives to come,
long after my quill and mind laid down.
Tis not my need or ego’s play,
just a loss for all I’ve learned to say,
and what I’ve felt and witnessed here,
I want full known, the beauty clear,
as life is often harsh in learning,
and we many times close off in fear,
but with my quill I found my heart
and want to share, in love impart.
So I pray when darkness greets my core,
and transform I may to realms unknown,
my passage here in remnants found,
the words my soul did plea,
of all the loves and beauty seen,
from dreams to nature’s prophetic scenes,
of human sad ineptitude,
all in words, in heartfelt verse,
may I glimmer just a little.

Such a beautiful verse, Tony. What more could a poet ask for than to leave a legacy of love and beauty. And glimmer you will as a bright star shines its light down upon humanity, so shall you light the way to all that is beautiful in life and nature. I love this, with tears misting my eyes.
Thanks Phyllis, so glad you enjoyed it my friend. Take care
Love and beauty indeed, your words are always expressive of our surroundings in this world of ours. The beauty and much ugliness that gets tossed at us daily.Your legacy is secure my friend with your beautiful portfolio of verse that most certainly lights the way for all who come after you., Cheers.
Thanks Vincent, for your friendship and support and always a kind word. Take care
Immortalization of words. A main goal for writers. You want your words to affect someone somehow. In reading your work for an extended period of time is someone doesn’t see that glimmer that you speak of then they must be either blind or dimwitted. Excellent work here my friends as always
Thanks Paul you kind response much appreciated my friend. Cheers!
