Residing in Eternal Embrace
Embrace all of life…
Let the cosmos surge,
the grinding flashes of light and birth,
and let endings be tumultuous,
in screaming rage and boundless sin,
and I one moment of sight,
to ride the wave and in death display
my ambivalence.
For what can hurt an open mind,
no reason, no epiphany of rhyme,
just life in purpose,
inert minds in the cauldron,
spawn of life strewn within eternity,
gods in rank from pasts immunity,
shall grace our DNA.
And what we know and what we don’t,
matters little within this scope,
and I accept my alien soul,
for all it is and for life’s resolve,
and care not if death gives me favor,
my journey flows unstopped
by inept beliefs and the labor of concern.
So bring on the war, bring destruction,
so that new souls can raise the bar,
for this is pointless, for thieves and war,
and I amid the chaos, apart in mind and soul
watch with a calm knowing
that slow the rise of love and selfless cause,
to bring a spiritual beginning.
And regardless of the ravages of fire
and molten death,
one moment sees release from pain,
and further does the soul retire to other realms,
less invested in hatred and gain,
to follow the heart of eternal being,
the light of truth and growth the seeing.

This sounds like a “damn the torpedoes” moment Tony – very powerful and great composition
So glad you appreciated the work, Ralph. Many thanks my friend.
Yes, it is powerful indeed. It stirs a sadness in me for some reason. Great work masterfully written, Tony.
Thanks Phyllis, glad you enjoyed the journey. I like to think of it less sad and really the ultimate freedom in acceptance. Cheers!
