Everywhere We Go, Irresolution Follows

Everywhere We Go, Irresolution Follows
Everywhere We Go, Irresolution Follows

They play us for fools,
embroiled in their intentions so completely,
tis reality not happened yet,
but will is not enough for reality’s hold,
wants that include others not set in minds, just ideas
unaccompanied by truth: simply wishes.

For circumstances to gel in numbers,
reasons have to be clear and wanted,
not one person can dictate that truth,
and no matter how much the pushing,
plans shall surely fall if driven alone,
as reasons not shared, are ineffectual.

Delusion often pushes hard,
for hidden reasons may turn a rational head
and drive the heart: fleeing, forgetting or escaping pain,
an emotional reasoning that cannot deliver the yearned result,
for no problem can be escaped,
as we carry it with us, and all that change will be pointless.

It is difficult to watch the panic ensue,
desperation turned to a detailed organisation of moving,
or changing everything
for a result that shall not happen,
a mistake that may resound for eternity
in the halls of regret.

Inner conflict cannot be settled externally,
and changing address does not change who we are, or someone else,
and happiness lays within resolution,
not any external move,
so all movement away from that,
simply holds the conflict in a stagnant state.

I think I understand this verse, Tony. Must be a personal rant? I do know that sometimes the only way to get away is through spirit, inner sanctum, and highest truths of Self. Nicely penned.

Thanks Phyllis, just about how people can be motivated by fear and drag others into their reasoning for change. Cheers!

Now Irresolution happens to be one of those words you just don’t see used very much, however you’ve done it justice and beyond – great piece of work

Much appreciated Ralph, simply we take our problems with us, and fear can guide people to mistakes and regrets. Cheers!
