Celestial Season of Love
Celestial Season of Love
The wee hours of morning moist with spring
Muffled up with vibrant autumn trees
Usher a mellifluous hymn of leaves
Tumbling down the perennial trees
Clouds vivifying whimsy of colours
Resuscitate the emporium of Love
As we coyly stand under a single umbrella
Soaked in water and shivers of chill
Ah! The vehemence of our breaths
Chiming in cadence tote dryness
Leaving the Soul replenished with thirst
And ‘tis cajoling mind yearning to cuddle
Standing amidst the cobbled street
Exalting the depths of romantic milieu
The parched Souls delve into each other’s lips
Invigorating flames in gelid bodies for sips
The nonpareil fragrance of our breaths
Seasoned with silenced reticence
Gesticulates warmth rushing through veins
Reciprocating seductive blaze
Let the time clothe into a glacial suit
For the Souls have pined fervently
To see, to touch, to feel the season
And its ceaseless ethereal cycle
The piercing eyes feel no carnal shame
For every season has its reason
And every reason has its season
Ah! ‘Tis Love laden with placid thoughts
Let the soul comprehend this feeling
And perpetuate the rituals
Of this celestial season of Love
For it ain’t a delinquency, nay a Dove.

A beautifully phrased and romantic verse, heart-warming and delicate in its rendering. Nice work Surabhi.
Thank you, my Freind… thank you!
Lovely verse, Surabhi. with great imagery. Well done.
Thank you, Dear Phyllis. Appreciated.
What to say, other than you have the heart and the soul to write about love so beautifully. Loved it.
Ah! You made my day, Kurt. Thank you so much, Dear One.
What amazing words you pen, Surabhi. Some I have learned for the first time 🙂 “for every reason has its season and every season has its reason” is a wonderful phrase. This is very romantic and somewhat erotic, and I would love to share an umbrella with you someday 😉 great work.
Woops! How did I miss to reply you back? (chuckle). Love you so much, my Dearest Jodah! Your comment is as sweet as you. Love ya heaps!
Hi Surabhi. I wanted to read one of your poems again and saw this one, one of my favorites. I love it. Hope all is well with you and hoping you will come back soon to give us more of your beautiful poetry. Take care.
