A Timeless Tryst
Timeless Tryst
A cuckoo gazed upon a timeless tryst
From a crystalline mirror,
And caught a glimpse of ebullient lovers,
When a Golden Light sprawled
Across the placid waters,
Cascading from the lake;
Whence day and night met tenderly,
Whence the Sun and Moon cuddled enormously,
Whence the Sky and Earth kissed amorously;
Such was the yearning –
A true love… an Eternal love…
Magnanimously, rain dribbled down
In the parched Souls,
Though it calmed the storms
And quenched their thirst;
Healing their ache,
Yet the pulsation ensued in hearts.
The stars came down, treading on Earth,
The grounds metamorphosed
Into the velvety skies,
Spreading plenteous jewels, pearls and sapphires;
Ah! What ethereal beauty
Shimmered on the delicate dew!
The Moon refused to go back to abode
And opted to fetch glory
For the lovers in love;
And whilst they dived deep,
Deep into each other’s eyes,
Time just froze,
And that very moment
Became their Life;
“Thou beest mine, thou wast mine, thou wilt mine,” he said,
And fragrance filled the air,
Melodies resonated in the cordillera,
As the lovers sensed each other’s presence,
Flowers blossomed as they blushed,
And with the radiance of their evergreen love,
The ambience became evocative.
