Those Seeds of Doubt

Those Seeds of Doubt
Those Seeds of Doubt

The hindrance of doubt…

Held to ransom
by the doubts that seed my thoughts,
and confusion often aches a heart that’s true,
trying to liberate the truth
within inexplicable circumstance,
the paths of too many alternatives ensue.

Hesitation is a dead man’s game,
lost, the opportunities afforded,
and doubts just make bland the colors at hand,
muddied waters no clear paths seen,
barefoot on the sand,
while the fiddler plays, as ‘chance’ burns.

Doubt is fear in sheep’s clothing,
and all possibilities require risk,
for sacrifice is our investment, our acceptance,
when we aspire to transcend our lives,
in our pursuits of dreams
and the world we envision.

Let doubt be a warning,
a message to look deeply with open eyes,
and then with confidence move forward,
take the opportunities and make them our own,
for if we do not, someone else will,
as faith in ourselves will always lead us to prosperity.

You are right, Tony – doubt will make one stop long enough to look deeper. I never really thought of it as a warning, but it is indeed. Well done.

Glad you related Phyllis, different perspectives open up new facets of truth. We often take for granted knowledge, without really understanding it. Cheers!
