How Deep My Love

How Deep My Love
How Deep My Love…you, my everything

Love’s sweet countenance
lingers at my door,
when last you graced my life,
and hollow seems my thoughts,
without your presence,
so pensive do I stand in wait,
for a simple knock,
to announce your return,
and my heart returns to beat.

Your smile enwraps me
with the warmth of summer day,
those eyes so deep my soul so lost within,
and gladly would I perish
with your vision my last to be,
if only you would stay with me,
in eternity’s flow,
amid the stars to guide us,
our love to sustain us.

Love has captured me completely,
my heart yours, my soul enraptured
to be near you,
and my love transcends the flesh,
beyond the passions of desire,
you are more to me than life itself,
to be with you my blissful dream,
my awakening to
an ecstasy of being.

As dawn nourishes the sky,
infused with beauty and golden beginnings,
your face is all my future holds,
that smile my every motivation,
your heart my salvation,
and one touch from your hand
tells me you understand,
and a symphony is born of silence,
for life unfurls in glorious hues, before you.

Your romantic poetry is always inspiring, Tony. It is so apparent that love is always within your heart and soul, the essence of who you are. This poem is a testimony to the beauty and sacredness of love you express so deeply. Very emotive and lovely piece.
