The Elements of Us…a woven universe

The Elements of Us...a woven universe
The Elements of Us…a woven universe

Born of fire and tempered by water,
I the earth that nurtures life,
stars above attest beginnings, while
moon in phase the rise and fall of strife;
as I ensure that life preserved goes on,
so all is drawn and part of me,
for we are one in our menagerie,
each facet, each process the movement of us all.

Earth is home, our host,
and from its trees the air we breath,
the water that sustains our life within,
to carry the nutrients of its bounty,
and like the water’s flow we toss and turn,
feel joy and pain and learn,
that all life is perfect in its way,
and we each a part to play.

The earth is a balance of process,
ever-moving reclaiming equilibrium,
and when we abide not its ways,
we exclude ourselves from harmony,
and face the consequence of instability,
the fire, the water, the air and earth within,
will cause disharmony and illness
for our deliberate and disrespectful sins.

We are all of the same matter,
woven in our secret weave,
and nothing separates us in reality,
all but our sentient minds,
often too arrogant to see,
that perception is relative, and truth in flux
as we see it change,
when we refuse to acknowledge the whole.
