Deluded Souls of Malice…their lies

Lies…the mud-slinging

Deluded Souls of Malice...their lies
Deluded Souls of Malice…their lies

The power of lies…

Rumors, hearsay and lies,
spread like any ripple in a pond,
ever outward into life;
and regardless of the truth,
the ripple is felt,
and so often believed, without question.

How much damage a lie can create,
is dependent upon the willingness
of those who choose to believe,
no matter how unlikely the reality,
or how damning
of those whom we know well.

So why do people choose the negative,
when common-sense tells us something else,
improbability that would under normal circumstance,
demand qualification, a questioning at least;
yet so many just choose the negative,
blame and judge circumstance without knowledge.

I watch the ripples, the effect they have,
and am appalled at those who accept without question,
the lies of malice that can damage entire families,
for some spite or perceived gain,
to illicit support in the name of a lie,
just because they can.

I know that truth will eventually rise,
but what Karma can justify an innocent victim,
mud-slinging, no matter how unwarranted,
sticking to cause emotional havoc
in the lives of the target,
the expense of a deluded soul of malice.

    Well penned work with great phrasing, Tony. I have spent nearly my entire adult life living with lies from one that has greatly affected my life. All I can do is know the truth is in my heart, so I have learned to live with the fact that the lies will only harm her soul. Great work Tony.
