O My Beloved! In Your Arms Is My World

O My Beloved!

On the palms of this tranquil night,

The moon glows, radiating so bright,

As I remain absorbed in your cherubic aura;

Like a dewy soil adorns the tender monsoons.

Tell me, O’ Lover! Why is Love so magnanimous?

That we mislay our hunger and sleep,

And when sore, we forgive and forget

Those usual human frailties in others;

Is Love blind or is it kind?

I know neither of these terrestrial trumpets,

Yet I know of the Divine music

That echoes in the supernal sanctum

Of a loving devotee.

There is an uncanny place,

A place beyond the stellar galaxies;

Over there, resides my Beloved-Supreme,

He who gently opens the knots of my Heart,

Lifting my spirit up and caressing my wings

With His infinite charm and beauty…

It is then that I say to myself,

“By God! What an unflinching energy!”

Ah! Grace… sweet, compassionate grace!

True are the words by the wise old men,

That a staunch prayer never yields

Before the prodigious thorns and thistles,

For it perpetuates to grow… to rise… to soar

In the ceaseless cycle of life and death –

An immortal Soul’s sojourn…

O my Beloved! In your arms is my world…

Lo! Seeing your chivalrous smile,

The fragrant hyacinths became drunk tonight…

Every image of yours becomes an auspicious sight;

Like a solemn pledge, fulfilling one thousand dreams,

O’ Sailor! Come! Come!

Take me to His Golden shore,

Where I see a splendid sunrise.

Let Your Wings Be Free . . .

My heart, like a vermillion kite, rises into a perennial land of sweet aspirations. I let myself loose, closing my eyes. Let it go… let’s see where it goes. Unless you get ravelled, how will you taste the joy of being unravelled? Let it rise… let it fly… let it soar in the sky… let it grace the luscious winds… let the morning dawn embrace the Soul… let your wings be free… be free… be free. – Surabhi Kaura

    Surabhi Kaura I came across this magnificent work, you embody the soul of a poet. Your connection to the Universe is seen through your imagery placed here. The soaring of your heart, soul and pen dictate your accomplishments with the written word. Embraced in the arms of love is what so many of us hunger for, to see the light, the aura beyond all veils, the hand of God reaching out to us, waiting to embrace our soul as we enter the fold of holiness. Peace and blessings I send to you this day dear poet.
