The Disease of Hatred

The Disease of Hatred
The Disease of Hatred…serving the self

Hatred is a disease
and gathers circumstances that propagate its vile intent,
thus prolonging its life within a heart,
and once accepted, it colours all else in its name,
leaving emptiness and darkness
whenever it is accepted as a thought or action.

Those surrounded by strife and struggle
are often the victims of hatred’s grasp,
turning life into a field of war,
of contention and dissatisfaction,
because through these glasses
life is seen as an oppression.

Hatred teaches a mind that deceit is necessary,
to manipulate the forces that oppress,
that forge obstacles against wants,
and in that state of offence,
all is justified in serving the self.

Tis so easy to hate, to blame those who hurt,
yet the irony is when we do,
we perpetrate the same problem,
as hatred just begets hatred in a cycle
that can quickly become the purpose of life,
by turning our aspirations into dark affronts.

Love is the only way to live,
to aspire to betterment and improve our experience,
and through its selfless caring and ideal
we may find a peaceful heart, and life,
far from those who judge with dark intent.

And where will this never ending cycle of hatred lead us but to a empty and dissatisfied life..I think the best gift we can give ourselves is forgiveness, even if someone hurt us badly, instead of letting hatred take control of our lives..thank you so much for sharing your wisdom in such beautiful words Tony..have a lovely day!
