A Single Candle of Hope

Our single candle of hope…

A Single Candle of Hope
A Single Candle of Hope

Forever hope…

For all the fading hope and darkness present,
for all the hatred that sits upon tongues,
that persecutes and maligns souls,
for all the selfish self-preservation
that dictates lives so completely, I say,
life has so much more.

Hope may fade but can’t be gone,
as the end is never final just the beginning of change,
and our hearts are filled with potential, love,
something greater than just survival or gain,
and so I ask as Christmas approaches,
realise that we are more.

Our hopes and dreams,
our possibilities have no end,
and brotherhood a purpose of harmonious life,
so next time something stirs you up,
smile and know we’re in this together,
all religions, politics and ideals aside,
we are one humanity.
