Swans on still waters…
Swan wings outstretched,
an angel upon glass,
slender neck so graceful, so elegant in form,
and reflection a shimmering mirror of perfection,
gliding so effortlessly along.
Tis as if no movement impels this beauty,
no intention at all,
just a movement of light, as if the moon,
and I surrender my heart for beauty’s pledge,
a tranquil knowing of blissful right.
What she knows this beauty,
her pristine plumes but layers upon her dreams,
as she in stillness moves, in graceful art,
and seems at peace,
the sky above reflected in her watery ease.
And when two entwine
to dance upon the still waters,
the world holds breath in wonder,
the beauty a sacred sight in mother’s loving arms,
and hearts slow in synchronicity with life.
The water ripples in morning light,
in wake of those gliding white angels,
glistening upon gentle folds,
radiating out so softly to fade,
as beauty parades, in languid style.
