As life sighs….
Violets grew in abundant mass,
like burgeoning clouds over mild steeps,
their colors such contrast to the rustic
greens and browns of earth,
and ferns with yearning tendrils
reached for speckled light
as shards addressed the dark in mirth.
And trees with twisted roots cascade
like veins of life extended,
harbored mosses so vivid green
their inspired delicate face
dew kissed and tender,
as birds aloft spoke in trill tones,
back and forth like neighbor’s gossip,
and underfoot death and life abounds
in crunchy crisp melodies.
Vines meander through air and bow,
following paths so enticing,
their leaves a translucent green do sprout,
like scales of protected lining,
and the air is so fresh and clean,
each life attributing to this moist forest dream,
and blessed all who flourish here,
life so much more it seems.
And when those afternoon falls,
wash away the warm days embrace,
steam rises in misty blue,
to cleans each leaf and honey dew,
and sprouts as if given breath,
push up with glee and life refreshed,
to imbibe this hallowed ground.
And life sighs with gratitude.
