Hollow in Fantasy, the Struggle of Self

Struggle of Self…

"<yoastmark

Struggle, a soul lost to delusions…

Hollow, this feeling,
when betrayal marks a love,
that once cherished life,
then in spite relented to cruel and unexpected strife,
to shed her skin,
her past and everything
for reasons I don’t know.

It is as if death has taken her,
or perhaps her soul is lost
for what remains is without hope,
swallowed whole by a demon heart,
perhaps transformed by some quirk of fate,
to reject the love and those who loved her,
cast aside in wait.

What ensues
is in disappointment’s raw hands,
unexplained, unrecognized,
and it seems as if she’s lost her mind,
her shiny skin a temple of what’s been,
yet underneath a person unknown,
a soul attracting sin, in her deeds and lies,
sewn into a life anew, without all she once knew.

I am sickened by her deluded words,
her claims of untruth shouted and heard by everyone,
in her quest to convince herself;
so sad a plight, for a mother and a wife
once valued and true,
now like a mist of a soul lost,
a remnant of the fallen, at great cost, gone.

It is so sad when a soul has been lost, more so for the ones once loved. That deep question always remains “was the love true” – something we will know within our heart eventually. Very emotive and well penned work, Tony.

Much appreciated Phyllis, glad you related. By the way, this post I cannot get to hold the photo description and alt. That’s why its not green. Every time I fill it in, i update and it disappears? When you’ve got a sec, could you take a look?

I just looked and managed to get the keyword in the image alt text which held. Also the keyword was used in one of your other posts, Reprieve of Struggle. I changed the keyword to reprieve in that post – now both posts are SEO Green.
