Words Bring Us Closer

Closer we become…our thoughts aligned

Words Bring Us Closer
Words Bring Us Closer…understanding one another

Words like sheer flighted birds
ripple through time and space,
aloft and indistinct,
awaiting a heart to grasp their core
and for thoughts to implore their essence.

And so they remain
until wrenched from plight,
letters black and white prevail
and find place upon a thought,
a possibility, a meaning fought to stay.

Eyes flicker like the morning light
through rustling trees,
collecting letters and words
as thoughts become like prey to ease
a resolution, and understanding find its mark.

And if words be placed in eloquent ways,
and beauty transcends those thoughts in play,
then a heart does glow, just to know
the thoughts of another, and
warm those thoughts attest all life.

For in connection there is beauty,
and in written words a heart’s release
to thoughts perhaps unthought,
and enticed to flight by a creative mind,
to inspire life and closer bring our souls in kind.

Such a lovely piece with touching sentiment, Tony, using words ” in eloquent ways.” Very nicely penned.

I just love this. The first stanza particularly resonated… “awaiting a heart to grasp their core and for thoughts to implore their essence.”
