Beginning New Adventures in the Promised Land

Beginning new …

Beginning
In The Beginning

In the beginning there was Chaos.
Go back to where we had begun,
In the beginning we were at a loss,
When oh thank Heaven up steps John.

At the hub no stories or poems
Were rightfully appreciated,
We tried so hard but felt alone
On the nerves it really grated.

John was pondering what to do
We deserve attention and credit,
For creativity and talent too,
Without constant stress and edit.

I wish we had our own niche site,
John pondered, deeply in thought.
A place for us, then came the light.
A place that no one yet had got.

He talked to friends for quite awhile,
Most agreed we are outcasts here.
The light kept growing, John did smile,
Open a site where we can cheer.

Yes, a site where we can cheer
About our story and our poem,
Write without having to fear
Any scorn, it will be our home.

Calling all fiction writers and poets
Now that sure made a lot of smiles,
We can write, and don’t you know it,
We are The Creative Exiles.
~ ~ ~

Oh yeah, sometimes I get off my path and

write something silly, but this was fun.

I have always liked to write. It is important to me that writing comes from my heart and soul. When writing poetry, if I do not feel a spiritual connection to what I am writing on, I will discard it and go on to something I can connect with on a spiritual level. I live in the moment, I write from the past or beyond the veil. When writing fiction I go with whatever inspires me at the moment - it could be funny, sorrowful, romantic or sometimes done with the use of colloquial language from mountain folk or other cultural regions. Thank you for visiting.

Yes we are The Creative Exiles, yet in exile we prosper and flourish and shall continue, for we write with heart and all that we are, to give to our readers the essence of sharing and connection. Nicely said Phyllis.

This was a wonderful thing for you to write, Phyllis. I love a bit of random verse, but you did capture well the essence of The Creative Exiles and how it all came to be. Thank you for writing this.
