Sacred Falls
Sacred Flow of Life

The fall of water
always finds me in serene thought,
be it falls or cascades,
the sight and sound of water
triggers peace within me,
and the scent of that crystal clear flow,
is like a panacea
a reviver of all woes.
Its movement is like a perpetual clock,
as if time without measure,
eased to earth so freely,
the sound a lilting melody of life itself,
its very soul to pacify all else
like a slumber,
far from the harsh realities
of life’s course.
Here, in this sacred temple,
I will sit for hours,
imbibing the calm yet relentless
movement of life,
as endless sprays of mist
ascend the ragged but worn cliffs,
to meld with the sky;
and I can taste its purity, its earthy origins.
And in the wake of its calming nurture
I can see clearly,
all that has burdened my mind,
and like a miracle of freedom,
the weight of concerns simple leaves,
lost in those fine sprays,
upward rising to scatter
amid the endless blue.

I am a water person in spirit. Water is so soft and peaceful, yet powerful enough to forge new pathways and constant change, teaching us to flow along our way in life. Beautiful work, Tony.
Thanks Phyllis, water to me is the ultimate metaphor for life and as an element, such beauty to behold and admire. Glad you enjoyed it my friend.
