How shall I love but with all I am,
beyond the stars shall my love resound,
deeper than those wounds that have scribed my losses
upon flesh, weakened by the tears of goodbyes;
and so I will appease the pain, that past refrain,
by love’s sweet countenance,
no rejection shall hinder my quest,
for love deserves more than a regretful redress?
How shall I love thee,
but with a heart bled dry,
yet filled with a purpose beyond the skies,
deeper than seas and wider than horizons,
there is no end to my loving ways;
in surrender I claim only to stay and abide my troth,
for love is far beyond the likes of me,
able to guide my heart to its intent?
How will I live without love,
when dried my skin, parched of heart
and zeal my greatest hope, apart,
yet love imbues this life still,
for loves course and scope is more than I can hold,
greater than I can imagine,
as a loving heart finds love everywhere,
more fulfilling than a sigh of loss.
Love is transforming,
encompassing and eternal.
